Bruce Monroe Elementary/Parkview Recreation Center

Bruce-Monroe Elementary School is the “place where we all share who we are.”  Located in Washington, DC, it services PK – 5th grade with a student population of over 300.  Across the street, Parkview Community Center gives children and families a place to spend time together.

Issue Area: Education

Projects Include:

  • Beautifying the Parkview Community Center with new soothing colors.
  • Painting the school’s name in the entry way to increase school pride.
  • Painting fresh fruit and vegetable trains in the school cafeteria to encourage healthy eating habits.
  • Painting game lines on the gymnasium floor to encourage exercise.
  • Painting collegiate logos to encourage higher education.

This project is family friendly!  Please feel free to bring children to participate in the service.
